WHY PRESIDENT JONATHAN DESERVES A SECOND TERM

     Good governance is a continuous necessity in any nation. This is what president Jonathan is doing like Obama , like Mandela and Martin Luther King. This administration is the best since the independence. This is because; it strengthens democracy, supports gender equality, and allows civil society organizations to carry out their functions without hunting them. Let me say it axiomatically, that president Good luck Ebele Jonathan is a believer that democracy , is by the people and for the people , not for the few well heeled .He also believes that the administrative affairs should be justifiably settled with due process of law and exemplified the jaw-jaw than to war-war strategy .That is why all and sundry should drown out voices to crescendo to support Dr. Jonathan: a true patriot, well adjusted leader, a quintessence democrat, and a public friend leader.

     Casting our minds to the chequered past administrations and their tyrannous nature, one will make out that this is the piece de resistance administration that has transformed this country in many ways by allowing all institutions to work independently .We have not had a freely expressing opinions government that appreciate human attributes regardless of the status to participate in the key governance and harangue those at the corridors of power without being arrested, transfixed, by military or civilian dictators which is contrary to the president Good luck Ebele Jonathan’s administration and policy hallmark. What about the statement credited to the erstwhile interim chairman of the APC that lowered this present administration as kindergarten? Has he been arrested, assassinated or detained .That is the beauty and grandeur of democracy which was not allowed in the other administrations that ruled with venom, and tyranny. I will refresh your mind on these: The assassination of Bola Ige, letter-bomb of Dele Giwa, undeserved hanging of Ken Sarowiwa, incessant arrest of Gani Falwelmi culminating in death thereafter, the death of Funsho William,etc , well! May their souls rest in peace, amen but, none of these similar cases of a prominent Nigerian has been recorded died on the grounds of political assassination in this present administration.

The signing of the freedom of information bill has given the press carte-blanche but, should be canalized with the devoid of canard or calumny in their reports .It indicates a pure in heart government that has no skeleton in the cupboard and has no venom or grievances toward any region. Have those television/radio stations used by the opposition party in Lagos to criticize Mr. President attempted to be closed down? During president late Yaradual’s administration, the Channel television was threatening to be closed down. This betokens a true democrat that wants people to be aware and be involved in the government policies.

There is no doubt that the insurgents in the northeast have overstretched this administration, not withstanding, this administration has made quantum leap forward in the following areas:

   Upgrading in the Nigerian aviation.

  Building of over 125 buildings for Alamajires schools/accommodations.

  Straightening national cohesion.

  Agricultural diversification economic policy in boosting farmers with agricultural loan scheme.

  Signed freedom of information and health care bills.

   Ongoing upgrading in the Nigerian railways.

  Ensuring equal balance of power among the six geopolitical zones which appointed an Igbo man for the first time to be the chief of army staff after the Biafra war (1967-1970).

  Ongoing second Niger-bridge and 1000 metric tones of sugar production plant in Niger Sate.

  Ongoing dredging of the River Niger.

  Ongoing construction work on Ore expressway.

  Ongoing power policy framework project and megawatt upgrading/refitting equipment.

  Ibadan expressway construction project.

  Badagry seaport project.

  Sure-p project for youths/unemployed graduates training and financial empowerment scheme.

  Cooking gas project that will encourage going green, reduce deforestation, erosion and flooding.

Overseas graduates training scheme in oil and gas.

 Automobile industry policy projects.

  Change in the electoral process in which the victory of Adams Oshiomhole, Oyo governorship election are living testimonies.

  National mortgage policy.

Establishment of 12 federal universities.

  First Class overseas scholarship scheme.

  Women empowerment and reduction of human rights abuses in which the Amnesty International scored Nigeria better than in other administrations and the largest investment thriving country as well as the largest economy in the Africa continent under the leadership of the president Jonathan.

    Let me at this time, intimate my readers that the insurgency, chibok girls are organized stealth crime by inhumane individuals who want power by hook or by crook and want this administration to look stupid or appear incompetent in the foreign sight if not, why was the foreign observers confirmed a local support and why is Boko Harams not in the other regions where there will be no supporters or sympathizers? The war on terror is a winning war; we must condemn the sponsors of Boko Haram who may use it as a campaign gambit to win election. Let me insert that no political party or a region or continent can claim that their can solve terrorism in isolation from the other political parties, or regions or continents because, the insecurity in one party, a region, a continent will trigger others if not well solved collectively.

    Finally, terrorism is an ill wind that blows nobody any good and we should conjoin and stop otiose opprobrium that will end us in a bind .There is no political party that can end Boko Haram in isolation from other parties or regions because, the insecurity in one region can cause the same in the other regions if not well solved .So, all hands must be on deck to send it oblivion. We are not supposed to have been in this situation, if not the infernal, the injustice of men against the justice of men, the unguided utterances, the unnecessary hankering for power by the charmed circle which have overheated the polity and added an insult to injury. There is no one like President Jonathan for now among the contestants to take over Aso rock; a true democrat, and a humble leader  Let me quote the word of Anold Wolfers: “anyone who remains indifferent to power will be overtaken by power seekers”. Dr. Jonathan is not a power seeker who want to exploit within the context of bombing to become a Nigerian president but, a leader who want to give than to get. That is why he said that no anybody’s ambition worth the blood of any Nigerian. Let’s give him a chance to transform Nigeria and take us to the Promised Land. Sincerely, we clamoured for a true leader that is better than president Jonanthan ,unfortunately, none of them is better than Mr. President. That is why I will follow the one I know than the one I do not know or trust. We truly need a change of statusquo but not a new Gadfi with venom and hidden agenda and campaign only on the consciously created insecurity gambit to score points in the incoming election and has no viable manifesto or the periant to drive this nation forward. We have not got any candidate that is better than Mr. President .That is why President Good luck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan deserves a second term.
